Hi, Ahmed. Thank you for your comment. Pam was a guest writer, and so I am going to reply on her behalf. The best place to get support on Multisite Post Duplicator is to go directly to the developer of that plugin. You can submit a request for support via this link: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/multisite-post-duplicator/. Thank you for reading and best of luck to you.

I would like to find away of how to manage the internal inbound links on WordPress multisite as described below:

I have multisite WordPress as :

https://ar-emirates.domain.com
https://ar-saudi.domain.com
https://ar-kuwait.domain.com.

When I posting a new article on one of these subdomains, I’s using a plugin called “Multisite Post Duplicator” and when I put a links on any keyword in this article for Emirates sub-domain and then publish the article, it’s getting linked with Emirates link on Saudi and Kuwait as well.

Ex:
I posted and article with https://ar-emirates.domain.com/example1
and then posted an article with https://ar-emirates.domain.com/example2

So, when I’m putting example1 link on (Example1) word in example2 page, it’s duplicating on Saudi, Kuwait websites with Emirates links.

So, if you have any suggestion to fix or how to change the internal inbound links for each website.

BR,
Ahmed Ali

I am building a multisite based on one of the cases you pointed out: one main site presenting the frame project – divulgation and promotion of projects inspired on the natural heritage of my homeland, Galicia (Spain)- and some sub-sites focused on different subtopics: natural parks, historic subjects (e.g: I’ll have one site exclusively dedicated to viking raids there), legends, flora and fauna explained to kids, etc. Each of these sub-sites will be branded with their own logo, theme, etc; and will be offering different products and services linked to each of them.
I didn’t want to hide the fact that they were all part of a major brand, so I chose the subdirectories based type of multisite.
Now, I have read some articles that warned about a potencial risk:that inter-linking sub-sites might damage SEO, as Google see it as way to bring false authority links. I will use interlinking on the top menu of each sites, where there will be buttons with links to the main site and to another sub-site dedicated to the store. Besides that, my plan is to insert links within blog posts -wherever it is reasonable and content driven- to products on the network store (which will be selling products of every sub-brand in the network). What do you think about that? is interlinking bad for SEO? I wouldn’t like to invest hours trying to build quality content and get penalised because of interlinking between sites hosted on the same IP. I appreciate your oppinion, thanks a lot!

Hi Fabio!

Depending upon how many different countries your directory will cover, separate domain names for each country could get expensive. This might be a case where subdomains or subdirectories are a better fit.

If you do start out with one site, you can always transition to multisite later. Or, you can start out by enabling multisite from the very beginning, but only using one site at first. This way you’d have the network ability ready to go for whenever you decide to add additional sites.

Hope that helps!

Should I have one site for each country or grouping all the countries on one domain? If I start with just one domain, can I go to multisite after? Thanks!
